Our preschool dance classes include preballet, tap and beginning acro skills! Our youngest dancers will develop rhythm and musicality through tap.  They will learn the basics of ballet while developing their gross motor skills, balance, and grace.  Finally, they will work through the primary level of the Acrobatic Arts syllabus to gain strength and flexibility that will help them in all future dance endeavors - ballet, tap, jazz, and advanced acro!  Start your young dancer off right with a balance of strength, musicality, and poise in our TTT classes!

ArtWorks Academy is one of only a few studios in the metro area to be a certified Acrobatic Arts dance studio.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever Performances: December 4-6 or December 11-13, depending upon enrollment at each location.

Spring Musical (title TBA): May 2021 (exact dates TBA)

In addition to the $50.00 (5-7 year olds) or $59.00 (7-14 year olds) monthly tuition, there is also a $55.00 Production Fee PER semester, as well as an annual $25 enrollment fee. Acro Dance (Add On): 5-8 year olds

Acro Dance is different from typical gymnastics and tumbling classes. It is the seamless fusion of dance and acrobatic skills. The techniques taught help students to perform the skills safely on a hard floor (dance or stage floor) and to allow seamless flow from an acrobatic move into dance moves during choreography. It also helps to develop strong and well rounded dancers. ArtWorks Academy is one of only a few studios in the metro area to be a certified Acrobatic Arts dance studio.

Students enrolled in the Acro ADD ON, must also be enrolled in the Ballet/Tap Combo that precedes the Acro class.

Acting and Play Production: 10-18 year olds

This is primarily a performance based class, but we will start by learning the fundamentals of acting and audition technique.  Students will apply their knowledge as they audition for our spring play, You Can't Take It With You. All students enrolled in the class will be cast in the play. After auditions and casting have concluded, all students will begin to gain the powerful hands on experience of producing a play.  Rehearsals will be held during their normal class time, with the possibility of a few extra rehearsals being called the weeks leading up to the play.

You Can't Take It With You is a straight play and NOT a musical.

"At first the Sycamores seem mad, but it is not long before we realize that if they are mad, the rest of the world is madder. In contrast to these delightful people are the unhappy Kirbys. The plot shows how Tony, attractive young son of the Kirbys, falls in love with Alice Sycamore and brings his parents to dine at the Sycamore home on the wrong evening. The shock sustained by the Kirbys, who are invited to eat cheap food, shows Alice that marriage with Tony is out of the question. The Sycamores, however, though sympathetic to Alice, find it hard to realize her point of view. Meantime, Tony, who knows the Sycamores are right and his own people wrong, will not give her up, and in the end Mr. Kirby is converted to the happy madness of the Sycamores, particularly since he happens in during a visit by an ex-Grand Duchess, earning her living as a waitress. No mention has as yet been made of the strange activities of certain members of the household engaged in the manufacture of fireworks; nor of the printing press set up in the parlor; nor of Rheba the maid and her friend Donald; nor of Grandpa’s interview with the tax collector when he tells him he doesn’t believe in the income tax." (from dramatists.com)

Performances for You Can't Take It With You will be April 23-25, 2021.  In addition to the monthly tuition, there is a one time $55 Production Fee, which is due by January 15, 2021.  This fee helps cover the cost of the royalties, set, costumes, etc.  Parents will receive two free tickets to the play per child enrolled (two total NOT two per show).  Additional tickets can be purchased for $10 each.
