This fun and exciting class introduces children to the fundamentals of musical theatre.  Students will explore singing, acting and dancing as they prepare for our production each semester.  This class will give students a solid foundation, which will prepare them for Production Company classes.

Students will perform with our Junior Production Company members in High School Musical Jr. (January 15-17, 2021), as well as our spring show in June (title TBA)  A couple of Saturday rehearsals are required toward the end of each semester. Junior Players: K-8th grade

Using the knowledge and skills they gain in class, students will collaborate to produce two productions.  The first will be the play, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.  During the spring semester students will work on a musical.  We will announce the title of the musical during the fall semester. All students enrolled in the class will be cast in the production. After auditions and casting have concluded, all students will begin to gain the powerful hands on experience of producing a play or musical. Rehearsals will be held during their normal class time, with the possibility of a few extra rehearsals being called the weeks leading up to the performances.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever Performances: December 4-6 or December 11-13, depending upon enrollment at each location.

Spring Musical (title TBA): May 2021 (exact dates TBA)

In addition to the $50.00 (K-1st) or $59.00 (2nd-8th) monthly tuition, there is also a $55.00 Production Fee PER semester, as well as an annual $25 enrollment fee. The Production Fee helps cover the cost of costumes, theatre/venue rental, set, props, etc. Click below for more details.

Our Showstoppers class incorporates three performance elements: singing, dancing and acting.  Students will learn the fundamentals of musical theatre technique while working on age appropriate music and scene work. This class is perfect for students with varying levels of experience. It can be taken independently of any of our other classes or alongside one of our production classes, furthering each child’s music theatre education.

Each semester will culminate in a short performance for family.
